She sat by the table with her new friends, sharing her interesting stories excitedly with them.

She danced, jumped and laughed while the others smiled at her.

As they left the table, she pulled her chair to the nearest table she could find and sat down.

She looked at a stranger innocently.

“You look like my daughter……”', she said.

“…. and I miss her very much”, she continued.

Without having the ability to control her emotions, she broke down into tears.

After a blink of an eye, she was the energetic lady with smiles again.

She used to be a working adult happily married with two daughters. But all that were taken away from her now.

All that were left now are her sweet voice and some scattered memories. As soon as I leave the coffee table, her voice filled the atmosphere with a song by Karen Mok, 外面的世界.

I saw a link on Youtube and it caught my attention:

Curious if it really works, I gave it a try.

Step 1: Make sure your hair is damp enough and start curling it with socks in a few sections at night.

Step 2: Sleep overnight.

Step 3: Remove the socks when you wake up the next morning!

And here is the end result:

3 Days 2 Nights KL Visit by My Girls

Hui Wen, Pei Ni, Fui Ting, Rachel and Cheryl came all the way to KL to have a girls gathering.

It had been more than a year since I last met them!

Yeap! Five of them + Me squeezed into my cozy middle room for 2 nights!

I think we spent most of our time eating and shopping.

And of course, not forgetting to enjoy the night life in KL!

It was a really fun and memorable to have the chance to spend time with you girls in KL.

We had tons of stories to share, love problems to advice and juicy gossips to announce! Hahaha.. I really miss those moments when we chatted and laughed until 4am and couldn’t wake up to get ourselves McD breakfast the next morning.

It’s 17th of August 2011 and I’ve been carrying out my semester 7 research since mid of June.

It has already been almost 2 months but today it’s the only day that I felt EXHAUSTED.

My cells are not really giving me the results which I want or I “hope” I can obtain

(I’ve even talked to them while I seed them, let them listen to booty shaking music, hypnotizing them…).

I really cannot predict what will happen.

Everyday there are some surprises from my babies.

And today, I spent almost 2 hours preparing dilutions for my plant extracts!

Countless times of opening and closing the small tiny little Eppendorf tubes and ended up cracking my own nail!

Poor little thumb of mine..

Come come, tengok yang closed up! Ew.. It has already became a broken layered cake!

I’ve prepared all together 16 tubes all together.

And at the end of preparation, I realised that my CALCULATION WAS ALL WRONG!!!!! which means that the extracts that I’ve prepared are of WRONG CONCENTRATION too!!!!

Sigh…………………………………………..

IMU Ball 2011 Preparation

99% of our class went to the IMU Ball on April 2nd.

It was my first prom and I was really excited about the whole thing! Since young I’ve been watching American movies where girls go to prom with dates, and the girl captain of the cheerleading team will always end up with a hot football team captain and they will be the prom king and queen of the night. FAIRY TALES.

I don’t have a guy to bring to the prom as my date sadly… But I am lucky enough to have awesome babes as my date! Main kayu sepuluh!

My dates went DIY and did all their make ups and hairdo themselves for the prom. Salute.

Ethan, Nick and Shwu Ling decided to come to my place over the weekend to spend some time together. =)

Ethan drove all the way from Melaka to meet us.

First Stop: Village Park Nasi Lemak, PJ.

We arrived at the shop at 3pm plus for lunch. All of us were extremely hungry.

RM7.00 for a plate of Nasi Lemak which tastes superbly awesome!!!

I also didn’t forget to order my ondeh-ondeh which I fell so in loved with recently.

Ah Kai recommended us to try this cendol stall at Kelana Jaya.

We headed to Opera after a late dinner at McD.

Happy Valentine’s Day everybody! ♥

Kai and I celebrated our very first Valentine’s Day yesterday. =)

I’ve been busy preparing the presents for him for almost 2 weeks and my study table had been like this for the entire 14 days:

Messy table with scissors, glue, ruler, eraser, marker pen, pencil, pens, glitter stickers, sewing needle, sewing thread, colour papers, dust, ants, bacteria… etc.

Messy it may be, but I always knew where all the things are located on the table.

Instead of making a V day card, I wrote a letter to him.

And this is the envelope which I had specially designed for him.

I spent most of the 2 weeks sewing wordings and hearts on 2 pillow cases which I bought.

It was not as easy as I thought it would be. =.=

After countless hours spent each day and nearly making my eye sight goes blind, my project was finally accomplished!

Everybody’s Birthday! =)

Today is the seventh day of the Chinese New Year which is also Yan Yat (人日), Everybody’s Birthday. =)

All my kaki-kakis decided to go out and have a reunion dinner at Sri Petaling.

We ordered a total of 8 dishes. The food tasted OK overall but the portion was a little too little. I did not take any photos of the dishes that we ordered (was too hungry!!!). And I do not understand why did they serve so many super fattening pork!

Anyway, I still enjoy the time spent with all my sistas. ♥

4. Couldn’t really understand the current trend in therapeutic lecture. Too many alien words to me.

5. Saw a lot of friends having A LOT of PBL reading materials. *Stress*

6. Feel like talking to Jason. Miss him very much.

7. Realized that the lecturer kept doing mistakes in the calculation.

8. Cried.

9. Found out that a lot of my classmates are working part time.

10. Many of my friends are interested in the Kargo job.

11. Being lectured by a very gaybai lecturer for talking in the library café. Ish.

12. Kept seeing the gaybai lecturer in uni.

13. I am SHAN SAO, Hands of GOD.

Nickson’s Early 22nd Birthday Celebration =)

Shwu Ling, Ah Fang and I decided to celebrate Nick’s 22nd Birthday at Chili’s Mid Valley.

We reached there at around 7.30pm.

It was really challenging to make a decision on what to order at Chili’s as everything in the menu seems so tasty!

I think we took at least 15 minutes to decide on what to order for our dinner.

The Food:

We ordered the bottomless chips as starters to entertain our empty stomachs.

Nick was brave enough to try the chicken spagetti. Who comes to Chili’s and orders a plate of spagetti? Taste? 5/10

Southwestern Lamb Shoulder for Shwu Ling. This is still my favourite dish at Chili’s. 10/10

Chicken Burger for Fang. Taste: 8/10 =)

And for me, I ordered a plate of Caesar Salad with grilled lemon garlic prawns. It cost me RM25.95 for that addition of 6 miserably small prawns. =.=

We decided to buy only a few pieces of cakes instead of one whole cake for Nick.

(We always couldn’t finish it!)

The birthday song sang was not as loud as those sang by staffs at TGI Friday (you will know what I mean if you had ever celebrate birthdays at TGI).

But I hope you don’t mind lah, Nick!

We couldn’t even finish these 3 pieces of cakes. Too full by the main courses that we ordered for ourselves.

RM157.30 for 4 persons. Still reasonable. =)

It was really nice to hang out with you guys. Each time we sit by the table in any restaurant, we would be the noisiest customers. Hahaha. That loudness runs in our blood and I know that there is nothing we can do to change it! Woowoo!

Can’t wait for the next outing!

Message to Nick:

I hope you enjoyed the dinner although the spaghetti you ordered was quite disappointing. Hahaha… May you have a successful job promotion in the future and have plenty of opportunities to travel overseas! Do remember to buy us souvenirs in every country you lay your feet upon.

Hainan Trip | Day 2

Breakfast

We woke up at around 6am to get ready and after checking out from the scariest hotel, we headed to the restaurant for our first breakfast in Hainan Island.

I wonder if every family in China has white porridge as their breakfast? The last when I went to Shanghai and Beijing, they served the exact same type of porridge as well.

Woo! This was the best Hainan dumpling I’ve tasted! 10/10. Too bad I have gastric or else I would have finish the whole plate!

Hmm.. I wonder why I saw chickens every where in Hainan Island. No kidding, EVERYWHERE! Even in the garden of the hotel! =.=

First Stop: Danzhou Stalactite Cave Geological Park (石花水洞地质公园)

It took us around 2 hours to reach our destination which was longer than usual according to the tour guide as the road was under heavy construction.

That was our destination! 1.5 hours away from we were.

The ride was extremely bumpy as well!

We passed through a few small towns on the way. I really love passing through small towns as only then I get to have a glimpse on how the locals in Hainan Island go about with their everyday lives.

It’s really amazing how prolonged period of water flowing can form these different patterns of stalactites.

The stalactite on the left was said to resemble that of a Buddha statue.

But I really don’t see any, do you?

Whether you see or don’t see the resemblance, taking photographs first was more important!

And this, they called it Elephant Trunk. I think it looked more like a penis. =.= Eh Hem!

I saw this whole stretch of crystals inside a wall of a cave. Fabulously beautiful!

I don’t remember what was the reason for this black spot formation but I find it kind of amazing to look at. =)

After around 30 minutes of walking, we came to a stop where we needed to take a boat ride to leave the cave. Awesome! =)

It was pitch dark in there and after 5 minutes on the boat, we finally see the sun light. =)

I was again, feeling super hungry. The driver even lost his way to the restaurant and waster around 30 minutes. =.=

While we were getting to the restaurant, I spotted locals selling live piglets by the street in bamboo baskets!

Amazing! I only saw the fake ones which is made out of flour during moon cake festival while I was younger. @@

Anyway, let’s pay our attention back to the lunch.

It was the best meal ever served during this whole 6 days/5 nights Hainan trip.

The restaurant was located a long a street in one of the small town which we had passed through.

The interior was not fancy at all. It was only occupied by simple wooden tables and bamboo chairs.

But the food that they served was superb! It was more like home-cooked food but with ability to satisfy every single taste bud on your tongue!

My favorite rice noodles cooked with dried squid, chilies and spring onions. Yum Yum Yum~

I went to visit their kitchen and it wasn’t a nice thing to do if you are really hygiene about your food.

The kitchen was dirty and with chicken in cages at a corner.

Poor chickens. I think I ate their friend for lunch.

We hanged out outside the restaurant for a couple of minutes while waiting for our bus driver.

And I saw a lot of things that made me go OMG.

First, I saw a girl who went and poo poo just outside the restaurant!

Her dad quickly ran towards her and asked: “Ah Mei ar, what are you doing?????” and carried her up.

I was thinking “ar, thank god. Her daddy is bringing her to the toilet.”

But I was wrong. Her dad just moved her to a few meters away and let her finish her business by the dusty road.

Secondly, I met the pet dog by the owner of the restaurant. Guess what is her name?

Xiao Mei.

Yes, that’s my name. =.= And dad even called her a few more times on purpose just to annoy me before we leave. ISH.

Thirdly, I came across this signboard along the street.

“It is good to give birth to only one child”

Wow, I know about the one child policy in China but I never knew that they advertise it like this..

The town looked a lot like scenes you will see in a World War II movie.

The Final Stop of The Day: Nanshan Hotel (南山迎宾馆)

Heading to Nanshan at around 3:10pm.

I took us more than 3 hours to reach the hotel. Along the way, we stopped by a petrol station to use the toilets and I would definitely crowned it as the SCARIEST TOILET made in history!

Look at the toilet sit. What is this??? There was no flush, there was only the water from the tap above which was available for you to wash your urine or feaces away. OMG!!!!

And right beside the toilet sit was this, a window for you to look at the tall grasses while you pee. Who on earth designed this?? Imagine if it was at night that you need to use the toilet! OMFG!!!

It took us 5 hours to reach our hotel. The highway was under construction, making the journey extra slow.

It is a 5-star hotel and it was the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in Hainan Island and also one of the best if compared to the ones in Malaysia! ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

The hotel is famous for its 108m tall Guan Yin statue that is located right in front of it.

It embraces Buddhism and everything in the hotel including the design, facilities, activities and even songs played in the corridor are associated with the religion.

I wonder how much preservatives they put in that chicken…

So with the discovery of the existence of instant Wen Chang Chicken, our second day of the trip ended.

Can’t wait for Day 3!

Hainan Island Trip | Day 1

Dad booked us (Mom, himself and I) 3 air tickets to Hainan Island, China, for our family trip. =)

We left for Hainan Island on 4th of December, 2010. It was a 6.55am flight and we had to be there before 4am for the check-in.

We reached LCCT at around 3am and we could see a lot of passengers sleeping on the floor.

And that included me. It was just so torturing! Feeling like I was having some pillow talk with my sistas back in Uni and the only difference is that there was no one to talk to this time.

4am, checking in.

We boarded Air Asia Flight AK… (So sorry to say that I couldn’t remember what flight number we took) at around 7am.

I was starving to death already when they finally decided to serve breakfast. Nasi lemak, I think it was a very small pack of Nasi Lemak for a starving young lady!

It took us 3 hours to reach the island.

Our tour guide, Guo You, was at the airport welcoming our arrival. =)

And this was the mini bus which was incharged to fetch us around the island for 6 days 5 nights. =)

Our first destination of the day was of course lunch! (I was again VERY hungry then)

There were a lot of dishes served for our lunch and most of them were vegetables!

I really felt like I was having a vegetarian meal. =.=

This was my favorite dish, Dong Fun (glass noodles)!

The highway in Hainan Island looked kind of similar to the ones in Malaysia.

Loved the farms!

But I enjoyed the scenery in Hainan more! =)

Next stop: Hou Cheng Coffee Cultural Recreation Tourism Zone

It was a really nice place for families to hang out during weekends.

I really like the place very much.

Fresh air, green garden, a pond for you to fish and also a nice place for you to drink coffee. =)

These were really rarely seen pictures for me. I never see families gather around a small pond to fish while drinking coffee in Malaysia. Hainanese, really know how to relax!

And I found it kind of weird to have a family living inside this coffee house.

And there were vegetables planted …

Third Stop: Millennium ancient salt fields (千年古盐田景区)

It has more than 1,200 years of history, an area of 750 acres of existing salt fields, more than 1,000 different forms of rock salt tank. Unbelievable!

The landscape was really unique with its natural beauty! =)

I can’t tell any difference between the salt made in Malaysia and this, can you?

The local kids were there, trying very hard to sell their specially packed salt for RM5 a pack. I don’t know why do tourists want to buy salt from China.. And I don’t think any tourist will buy…

And I don’t understand why my dad bought one packet from them??? =.=

And I think the kids loved him more after he became their customer.

Forth Stop: Dong Po Academy (东坡书院)

It is a historical building which is located in the small town named Danzhou.

It was built to honor a very famous commemorate the Northern Song Dynasty writer, Su Dong Puo (苏东坡).

It has a very nice garden, with a pond right after the entrance and a small hut for you to sit and relax.

I really love the green surroundings. I want that big tree on the left in my garden when I have my own house! =)

Honestly, I never heard of this name before. Dad was very thrilled about the place and asked me if I had learn about him during my history classes. Em.. No, all I remember learning from my history classes were Parameswara, Hang Tuah and Hang Jebat. Thanks to the Education System in Malaysia, I have no idea about Chinese history at all.

And also, the name “Su Dong Po” would only make me hungry as it reminded me of the dish Dong Po meat (东坡肉 )

Eh hem, anyway, he was very famous lah..

I wasn’t interested in knowing about him though. I spent most of my time admiring the architecture of the building and also the garden while my tour guide was explaining the story of him.

Final Stop of The Day: Hainan Blue Ocean Spa Resort (海南蓝洋温泉度假村)

It is the scariest hotel or resort that I’ve ever stayed in my life!

It is located in the middle of no where actually. No shops around. All you could see were trees and trees…

The tour guide told us that this was the best hotel in that area and it was rated as a 3-star hotel. REALLY?? I really doubt about it. I think it should be re-rated as 1.5 star hotel.

The hotel is actually quite old and not well maintained. There were no lifts and we needed to climbed up 2 floors with our heavy luggage to our room. And the room.. was a little bit eerie for me. =.=

And I won’t dare to look out of the balcony in the middle of the night. You will know what I mean when you look at these:

Nothing-much-to-see garden.

From the pictures you may think that everything looked fine but it’s the energy there that made me feel uneasy. I don’t know what it was. But I would never go back to the hotel.

Three of us slept at 8pm that night. Haha. That was just too early!

Christmas Dinner @ Vista Komanwel

B and I decided to stay at home and cooked our first Christmas dinner last Saturday.

And presenting the chef of the night,

Miss Janet Woon. =)

We went to Carrefour to get us some marinated lamb shoulder.

RM14 for 2 very big pieces of lamb shoulder. *Cheap*

I was a bit worried about the preparation as this was my very first time cooking other western dishes besides spaghetti.

And thanks to B, my assistant for helping me. I didn’t manage to snap photos of him giving a hand in preparing the dinner (was just too busy chopping this and that).

After 2.5 hours of hard core preparation, our 2-course Christmas dinner was finally ready! =)

Black Pepper Lamb Shoulder.

One whole set! =)

They were awesome! The only thing to complain was that the lamb was a bit too salty. I think it would be better if we marinate them ourselves.

B gave me a snow globe which I’ve always wanted since I was a young little girl. Frosty the snowman snow globe which is able to play the song Frosty The Snowman. I totally heart it! Thanks B!!!

I saw this yesterday when I got back home.

It reminds me of The Doctrine of Signature which states that

“herbs that resemble various parts of the body can be used to treat ailments of that part of the body”

This was what we learned in Complementary Medicine in semester 5.

Less than 2 weeks to go before semester 6 starts..

I hope everything will go well as planned.

Memoirs of Sem 5| Lembu Cheerleading

Yeap! I joined cheerleading! =D

♥ The Trainings ♥

How did it all happen? Hmmm… Let’s go 6 months back to June 2010. It wasn’t easy at all to find people and trained them into a cheerleading team. Jason, as the captain of the team was in so much stress at that period of them.

We started off with less than 12 people in our team and our dance routines weren’t even half way through yet!

We kept finding people to join and kept waiting. Days changed to weeks and weeks changed to months. Then those who were interested starting to show up one by one and we finally had enough people to have our stunts training started.

Most of us had NONE experience in cheerleading at all. Thanks to Jason and a few others who had participated in cheerleading. Without them and their guidance, I think most of the flyers would end up in hospitals.

Stunts were quite challenging at times and we worked really hard to get them right.

I loved to see how they transformed from a normal medical and health science students to cheerleaders who were able to carry and lift up flyers. =)

*Good jobs to all the bases, I know that you guys can feel the weight and end up having bruises but you all still managed put a smile to cover everything up =P*

And sometimes, flyers too get hurt during trainings.

And end up hurting himself. His already sprained ankle (from a volley ball tournament) was once again sprained.

It was in such a bad condition that he needed to visit a Chinese doctor and get his ankle some herbs.

And it wasn’t easy to choreograph dance routines that involves 24 of us. We even came up with diagrams to make routines easier for us to understand.

Wah Laa! The complicated rountine! =)

The Waka Waka dance routine was also another complicated one, involving formation of 2 circles then into another 2 circles then into another 2 circles.. then……etc..

Training was exhausting. I remember sweating so much that I could literally squeeze sweat droplets out of my T-shirt after a few session of dancing and jumping around with the fast beat rhythm of the songs.

As weeks of training went by, our cheerleaders are getting more in shaped and stunts that seemed impossible initially were able to be accomplished.

We gave all our heart, attention and effort in EACH training session! Well, maybe MOST of the sessions. =P

We had trainings at nights almost everyday. And most of us still need prepare for class tests, PSDs and final exams. It was quite stressful at times when you think of it, knowing the fact that your other classmates are busy preparing for the exams and you are still in Uni, spending hours there cheerleading.

But as stressful as you can be, cheerleading with all my lembus was something I looked forward to every single day. =)

♥ The Laughter ♥

We grew closer as time past and the laughter that we shared was something that I will remember and cherish.

……ended up everyone couldn’t hold their laughter anymore. =)

Loved every training session as they were always accompanied by fun, laughter and a magnet that pulled every of us closer. =)

We got our shoes from Bata. (What to do? We had budget…)

I wonder what was on Jason’s mind that day.. Maybe he was thinking “Sigh.. I want to have Addidas instead…”?

I loved the combination of colours, pink and black, went super well with our uniforms! =)

However the design was just too simple for us. We had to do something with it.

We painted it and add glitter to every pair of shoes! Sweet!

♥ The Day ♥

October 11th 2010 , the finals of IMU cup which was also the cheerleading competition, the day we all had been waiting and training for. =)

I remember feeling numb all over my body and was just overwhelmed by the crowd.

After months of hard and exhausting trainings, we gave our best that night.

There goes our 2.5 minutes routine! Haha.. =)

I bet everyone of us enjoyed it!

I have to say that joining cheerleading was the best thing I ever did in Sem 5! I am very glad that I made that decision and I think everyone of us (BP108 buddies) enjoyed their experiences as cheerleaders as well!

Adam Lambert Live in Malaysia 2010

I was given a very special opportunity to meet another hubby of mine, Adam Lambert, in October (Yeah, I know it has been 2 months already and only now I have the time to blog about it).

I really need to thank my awesome Daddy for fulfilling one out of my millions dreams.

After dinner, we walked to the Bukit Jalil Stadium. The crowd was already building up. Woohoo!

Ah Jo and I got ourselves 2 Adam Lambert fake passes for RM5 each. Hahaha. Cheapskate.

The gate was to be opened at 6pm. We were there 30 minutes early.

Dad got both Ah Jo and I The Pitt tickets which was just in front of the stage! Oh yeah!!!

Both Dad and mom chose to purchase the numbered seats (old folks =.=)

I thought I can be one of the first few people in the queue. URGH.

That’s me!! Feeling superbly excited! =)

Ah Jo had even went to the saloon to “Lambertise” her hair. Hahaha. Hardcore fan!

She was not allowed to use her DSLR in the concert and the officer had ask her to hand in her battery temporarily (Poor Ah Jo).

It was so spacious and people could just lay back and relax at the back! Thumbs up!!! But of course I wouldn’t waste my money laying back at the end the Pitt!

That was where Dad and Mom were sitting.

The concert was started off with the performance by our very own Daniel (The winner of second season of Malaysian Idol).

The crowd was awesome! Giving their best supports.

But then everything was spoiled by this OLD pervert. He actually paid RM298 to molest girls! What was wrong with this man???

He got so close to us that we decided to shift to another corner and yet he followed. I stared at him with my “Jelingan Maut” until he got the message. URGH. Stupid ugly fat out of shape pervert!

Spotted this Japanese-wannabe in the crowd! Wow! What was she thinking too???

And we took a photo with her! Teehee! =P

Adam then let us waited for around 1 hour before he actually appeared on stage. =.=

And to entertain the poor innocent fans, Digi gave us some giant balloons to play with. Haha.. Treating us like kids eh?

At around 9pm, Adam Lambert finally showed up. The crowd went wild with thousands of them screaming loudly (and that included me as well =P)

I nearly cried then, I DO NOT KNOW WHY…..

His costumes were all very uniquely design. They were all just so ADAM LAMBERT. Woo WOO!!!

We got so near to the stage that we could actually see his sweats. He got my heart stopped for many times. I needed to repeat this in my mind “This is not a dream. This is not a dream. This is not a dream….”

And Ah Jo had another thing to remember for that night: To wear appropriate shoes whenever you are going to a rock concert. =P

Jian Fang’s 23th Birthday

Last Saturday, a few of us decided to give Ah Fang a birthday surprise.

We headed to Pavillion at around 12 noon.

I was really looking forward for the gathering as it had been quite some time since I last met my “body guards” :P

The Christmas decoration in Pavillion was really magnificent! I felt like a small kid once again when I see all those huge Christmas tress and mistletoes. =) Christmas has always been my favourite occasion of the year!

We couldn’t stop ourselves from snapping photographs with the superb decorations. =)

Ah Fang was late that afternoon and we had to find our own ways to entertain ourselves. Sorry Fang! :P

We then headed to Snowflakes while waiting for Ah Fang to arrive.

I wonder why everyone is so crazy over Snowflakes these days?

So, the birthday celebration would be held in a Chinese Restaurant, Ding Tai Feng.

Ah Fang didn’t know that Shwu Ling and I would be there and she thought it was just a normal friend gathering.

We ordered the famous Xiao Long Bao.

They were awesome!

Just look at the meat and the soup which was contained inside the the Bao. Orgasmic!

Fang decided to order a plate of century eggs which cost RM3.80.

Why? I could go to morning market and get one with a much cheaper price. Business.

Ling ordered a plate of fried rice and it was recommended as a MUST in the Ding Tai Feng website.

The taste? Anyone of us could have cooked this, or maybe better.

We couldn’t stop laughing after that. I think I nearly had a stomach spasm then.

We then asked one of the waiter to deliver the birthday cake to our table. Yeah, they delivered it, with the candles all arranged nicely on the cake WITHOUT LIGHTING THEM UP. =.=

Just sweat.

But still, our main objective to surprise Ah Fang was accomplished! She did not see that coming. =)

But still we enjoyed every bit of it. =)

It was a really sweet time we spent in Pavillion and this was actually my first time to be out with them in KL.

I really miss hanging out with all of them. Ever since I moved up to Klang, my time spent with them are just becoming lesser.

Shout Awards 2010

Shout Awards was back again! And it was once again held in Stadium Putra, Bukit Jalil.

And I was lucky enough to win invites from Fly Fm again! Woohoo!!!

I actually screamed in my room when I saw this message. Initially I thought it was a scam as the notification saying that I’ve won myself 4 invites, was sent through Facebook.

Haha, but yeah, it was real! =)

Nickson, Rox and I went to the awards after JianFang’s birthday celebration last Saturday. ShwuLing decided not to join us as she needed to study for her finals. Aw, sad.

We reached there at around 5.30pm. It was super sunny and HOT.

The crowd was already building up then.

The usual red carpet was changed into a purple one this year. Very “Malaysian”. =.=

Prem, from Fly Fm, was the host for the “purple carpet” session.

We didn’t care much about that and went straight to queue up at the gate so that we could secure ourselves nice seats in the stadium later.

(Yeah, I know we were very Kia Su)

Gate C, for the public, level 2. It was not the best seats actually basing on the fact that I’ve won VIP tickets last year. =.= But still, I needed to be grateful.

It felt SO GOOD to be the first 3 in the queue! WOOHOO!!!

The “Purple Carpet” event started at around 6pm.

Here is the hottest guy of the night, who was also one of the host of the awards, Henry Golding.

Arh, HOT!!!

We were allowed to enter the stadium at around 6.30pm. Without anyone giving us direction or any notice boards telling us where to head to, we eventually lost our way.

We just walked around wherever our instincts brought us to.

And we ended up here:

The Screamer Zone. I was like WHAT? REALLY???

The guards didn’t even look at what tickets we were holding! I felt like I strike the jackpot that night! Super duper HAPPY and EXCITED! This was the area I wanted to be in so badly last year. And now, I was given the chance, an unexpected chance! Thank GOD!!!

The Screamer Zone was located just in front of the stage.

And right beside the purple carpet where celebrities would walk pass when they are heading to the stage and you get to grab their hands or talk to them if you are lucky enough!

It was really a dream come true!

I was thrilled by the whole thing. Couldn’t get myself to calm down that night.

But..

If only I could be in that centre of the stage….

OMG!!!!!

Next year perhaps?

We waited for at least 2 hours for the show to start and it was very torturing. I was hungry and I needed to go to the toilet BUT I CAN’T!

(I entered this zone illegally and I dared not step out of it. Hehe..)

Let’s sit and wait then! Secure our nice locations!

We were bored waiting with nothing else to do.

Sat and stood. Up and down.

The crowd went wild when they were giving out glowing sticks ( I do not know why… =.=)

But the glowing effects really make us go woohoo! hahaha.. Crazy kids…

We were then interview by a reporter from 8TV Chinese News.

And we went live on TV! MUUAHAHAHHA!!! Too bad noone recorded the 10seconds fame for us. Hahaha…

I loved it when they let the coloured papers down after each performance. =)

When Bunkface, which is one of my favourite local bands, won an award, I quickly grabbed the chance to shake their hands.

I think he really enjoyed performing. :P

Yuna:

She was the biggest winner that night, grabbing 3 awards back home, even beating Dato’ Siti Nurhaliza. I still think that Dato’ Siti deserved to win though.

He sang Replay, Solo and So Big.

I was SUPER EXCITED, WILD and couldn’t stop screaming when he was up there performing.

The show ended after his awesome performances.

Somehow I felt that the crowd was not as energetic as the one from last year when Sean Kingston was performing.

I still enjoyed it though. I will enjoy any performances by anyone to be honest. Hahaha..

Who is coming next year?

Maybe I get to be in the middle of the stage then. =)

Can’t wait!

To Nick and Rox, hope you guys had a great time that night even though we were all very exhausted and were starving then.

The Amazing Insulin Pen :P

Getting an injection from the Insulin pen which is used for diabetic patients is not an experience everyone would had.

It is compulsory for us though, as pharmacist students, to inject ourselves with the pen so that we will know how does it feel like for diabetic patients who need to inject themselves 3 times daily with insulin.

However, we are not injecting any insulin into our body. We are just inserting the needle. :P

There are 2 employees from Eli Lily who were invited by IMU to brief us on the insulin pen.

He (I couldn’t remember his name) gave us a short briefing on how to use the pen.

Humapen. This is actually my first time to see and hold an insulin pen.

We were not given insulin for that practical session. A normal saline solution was provided instead.

Karmun was brave enough to volunter herself to be the first one to try injecting herself using the Humapen on stage.

And let’s look at the other corner…

Jason, my Hainan Kia, was already super duper anxious about the whole injecting issue even before the briefing started. =.=

A few of us was given a set of Humapen to share and to use it to inject ourselves and of course, with a new needle each time.

Sharon was the first one. She too, was very “gan-jiong”.

Next, it was me! I was very nervous then. I never inject myself or anyone before! Hands were cold and numb.

Poking a needle into your skin wasn’t as easy as it seems. I need to do twice to gain the guts to do so! =.=

They told me that it won’t hurt and there won’t be any bleeding after you remove the needle.

But what is this? Maybe I have too much fats and the effect had gone wrong?

It was Jason’s turn!

He didn’t want to do it at first even after minutes of persuading by us.

Jason, millions of personal conflict going on in his mind.

Even Mr. Imran came and tried to persuade him.

Mr Imran: “It feels just like a tiny ant bite, Jason!”

Jason: “Ah.. No No No…”

But still, he found the guts to do it on his own. =)

Adam Lambert Live in Malaysia

Oh my god! I couldn’t believe my eyes when I read the newspaper! Adam Lambert is coming to Malaysia!!!!

I swear to god before that if he is coming to Malaysia I will use all my savings to buy his ticket!! He is one of the concert that you cannot miss!

I’ve been in love with him since I first saw him in American Idol!

He looked so innocent back then.

ARH!!!! I cannot suppress my EXCITEMENT!!!!!!

I bet this time PAS and other religious parties will be trying all kinds of weird methods to stop him from stepping into Malaysia. But they will eventually FAILED! Lelelleleleee~~~

I can’t wait to see you perform Adam. Please look me in the eyes when you sing alright?

IMU Convocation August 2010

Last year You Ming and I went for the free lunch IMU provided for the parents and families of the newly graduates. It wasn’t really ethical to do so though. But who cares, we need to survive, we need food to survive! =P

And this year, we did it all over again! Hahaha..

Medicine students from IMU graduated, em, not really graduated YET. They are in semester 5 now and they need to further their studies else where, other IMU campus (not really sure about that though). And so, they are “graduating” from IMU.

You Ming and Jason told me about the free buffet lunch that IMU was providing to all those who attended the ceremony.

But we couldn’t care much, it’s a weekend in Bukit Jalil with nothing to eat here! It’s a super dead town here especially during weekends. So Ming and I decided to go there and enjoy our lunch!

The food was almost finished when we reached there and there were not enough of plates provided.. Haha, I know, eating free food and yet I still wanna complain =.=

I asked Min Pei to tag along as well. He was here celebrating Kelly’s birthday last night. =)

My plate was over-filled with too much food!!!

It was nice for the 3 of us to sit by the entrance of IMU, chatting non-stop on a sunny day, enjoying the food. Nice. =)

We also spotted a middle-aged guy who looks 94.35% alike as Aik Xiang!!!

Aik Xiang, I think you will look exactly like him after 10 years. =P

Min Pei and I then went for second round of lunch with my sistasss at the library in IMU.

When we were about to leave, there were many bouquets of flower being left behind in the atrium.

The flowers were all so nice and sweet. The best thing of all, there wasn’t anyone there!

We started to grab one for each of us and started to snap photos! Hahaa, the “crazy about taking photos” genes just run in our blood. =P

I am so looking forward to the day that someone will present me with a bouquet of convocation flowers! And a teddy bear wearing a square academic cap among them!

And by then, all of us will be very proud of what we’ve accomplished!

2 more years to go babes! Let’s bring that day closer to us each day sexily and filling all those coming days with super sweet and fun days!

And by then, we can take photos with all the flowers as many times as we like and have fun with them! =)
