Still remember the day when Jason and I worked our asses off in getting the MTV Worldstage tickets in Sunway? 8 tickets we had, X-ZONES. :D
We waiting really patiently for THE DAY to come. And when it was finally here, everyone of us were SUPER EXCITED!
Andrew and Ah Jo couldn’t make it to the concert. Ah Jo claimed that she is too old to do all those stuffs including queue it under the hot sun. =.=
So, Sze Yin and LuLu (Wonder Girls Die-hard Fans =P) tag along with us!
Us, heading to Sunway! Woo Woo!!!
We reached Sunway Lagoon at around 2.30pm. The event was supposed to start at 6pm and there were already people queuing up!
Luckily we had the X-zones tickets and we didn’t have to spend our whole day standing under the hot sun to wait for the gate to open.
We still had time to snap some photos around Sunway. =)
The gate was opened around 5pm? I couldn’t remember what was the time time, I was just too excited about everything around me! The crowd, the settings, the crew, the hot sun, Sunway Lagoon~~ Woo WOo!!
When the gate was finally opened, the crowd was running into the entrance of Sunway Lagoon.
They were really running as though there was a giant alien chasing them from behind!
And after some 10 minutes, the gate was closed again for no reasons. =.= And we decided to start queuing as well with the crowd.
Us, with the tickets while queuing~
Jason’s friends from Terengganu, Baby and Anis, were there too. =)
The waiting process was really exhausting…
And boring…
and…..
scary???
Anyway, we still had our own ways to find our own entertainments…
Like finding unwanted posters being left on the floors by some heartless fans..
and like how we found a poster writing “I Love Tokio Hotel” by the road and made it our own and get all excited over it.… Woo WOo! Go Tokio Hotel!!!
We waited for more than an hour under the sun for the gate to open.
The crowd grew more than double when it was already 5pm.
See the difference?
When we were finally allowed to enter the gate, it was the best feeling ever! Like you’ve accomplished something together with your sistas!
Us, heading towards the entrance. Look at Jason’s face. Haha..
We still need to wait for around 30 minutes before we even reached the entrance. Our water bottles were all taken away there. Ish, why do they need to check our bags. Privacy please!
And when finally all that were done, they gave us these X-ZONES wrist bands and exclusive MTV Worldstage stamp! Oh Yeah!
Heading to the X-ZONE!!!!
It was still sunny when we were walking towards the surf beach. After toilet visits, the sun suddenly became dark and heavy rain started to pour.
But no worries, cos’ we were given raincoats!! Woo Woo!!!
I was SUPER EXCITED! I don’t think I’ve ever been so excited in my life. Seeing how close we were to stage and plus the rain?? Woo WOOO!!!
I basically ran into the X-zone while jumping and screaming all the way under the rain. And the rain was still pouring down really really heavily. I just couldn’t stop myself!!!
Everyone of us were very happy and there was this good aura among us! You can see everyone smiling, running around and jumping around!
We spent the time taking jumping shots…
but there were mostly ruined by Melvin. =.= Hahaa…
This one the only successful jumping shot we had and I loved it. =)
The event was officially started at around 7pm when Hafiz from Fly Fm came out onto the stage to give away merchandises.
The crowd was really ready for them.
Then MTV VJs from representing different countries were out to host the event. And of course, my hubby, Utt, was there as well! =)
From left: VJ from Korea, Utt, VJ from China and VJ from Japan (He was really hot too!!)
The counting down session was really great! Imagine 15,000 counting down together with you at the same time for the concert to start! The feeling was just awesome!
Counting down~~
The concert started of by performances by our Malaysian band, Bunkface, who are from Klang! Woo Go Klang!
Woo I adore them!
The vocalist and guitarist, Sam. =)
They performed Bunk Anthem, Prom Queen, Revolusi, Through My Window and Situasi.
Boy oh Boy, I loved their songs!!
Second to perform was Wonder Girls. But MTV made us wait for around 20 minutes for them. The crowd went super WILD when they appeared on stage. It was a really strong entry I should say.
Your heart pumps super fast when you see them on stage. I don’t know if it was because they are Wonder Girls or it was because of the music.
They were HOT. Really HOT. It was actually my first time even seeing their faces to be honest..
They wowed us with endless dance routines. The crowd really couldn’t stop screaming at all!
Second song: Tell Me Tell Me~ Da da da da da da~~
All of them looked so sweet and pretty. =)
Sohee (centre), Jason told me that a lot of Malaysians are crazy over her.
Jason, Lulu, Sze Yin and I were super HIGH when they performed!
Us with Wonder Girls! WOOOO!!!
They also did a special rock edition of Nobody, which I think was pretty cool =)
Next song: Nobody!!!!!!!!
I knew about Wonder Girls through Jason when he taught a few of my classmates the dance move. But I never watched the music video of it before.
And now seeing it live, performing by the original band, with the original clothes and settings from the music video itself?? I was blown away.
Their performances were great. I thought they couldn’t sing live (Just some assumption about Korean groups ahaha..) But they did and it went well!
Wonder Girls, saying good byes to us.
And we were ON TOP OF THE WORLD when they finished performing!!!
What happened next? MTV made us wait again. This time for at least 30 minutes for the next performance.
All of us were standing in our wet shoes, soaking our feets in our smelly wet socks for hours already!
Jason and I decided to take off our socks and shoes and let our foot breath after hours of soaking. And it felt so great!!! Should have done that earlier.
The waiting part is always very torturing. Without dinner or any water to drink, we were left in the crowd, waiting….
When the VJs finally came up on the stage again to inform us that the next band who was going to perform was Tokio Hotel, my energy level went up again!!!
Tokio Hotel, the band that I was anticipating all this while was finally performing right in front of my eyes!!!
I couldn’t stop screaming when they were on the stage!!!
Their performances blew me away, my ears were going deaf due to loud music of theirs but it was super worth it!
Bill looked awesome that night.
They put a lot of effort in decorating the stage this year. The whole setting of the stage was super nice.
The lightings and all when he sang The Dark Side of The Sun were intense.
Red, fire, HOT!!!!
Dark Side of The Sun:
Monsoon:
He sang a slow song while his twin brother, Tom, played the piano.
It was a very nice song and I finally get to see the soft side of him. =)
And when he sang The World Behind My Wall, Jason and I went crazy! Hahaha.. It was the song of the night! The song that we were looking forward all this while!!!
You could actually hear us screaming in the video. Haha..
There were even sparkling fire works flowing down after that song. Nice ending.
*Touched*
Tokio Hotel, a really great band. I don’t understand why some people hate them so much. I just can’t control myself from falling in love with them! =)
Me and Tokio Hotel. The best photo of the night!! woo woo!!
And after their performance? We were forced to wait under the rain for Katy Perry! For 40 minutes!!!!
It was time to play again. Jason – Tokio Hotel-wannabe! =)
We were really tired, smelly, hungry and thirsty by then. It was already pass 11.30pm.
When the curtain finally opened, all of us were speechless. The decoration of the stage was superb!!!!!
Katy Perry said before that her performance in MTV Worldstage would be sweet and colourful. And indeed it was!!!
There were a giant banana split in the middle of the stage!! With giant strawberries, candies, lollipops and creams on the stage too!
Even her guitarist and backup singers were all dressed up according to the theme!
She started by singing California Girls, her latest singles.
She later perfomed Teenage Dream, a song that I come to love now. =)
Third song: Waking up in Vages. :)
She has really high energy in her. Jumping and hoping around. And the screen behind the stage was always playing super colourful and happy animation!
When she performed Thinking of You, I nearly cried. So many memories coming back to me and it was my favourite song of hers.
My heart really melted when she sang that.
Aw.. I really miss the whole thing!
Next song that she performed was I Kiss A Girl, another song that made the crowd went wild!
The screen was full with lips and kisses. NICE!
There were even two giant ginger bread man on the stage, how cute!
Katy really gave it all when she performed. The vibe was great and everyone couldn’t stop singing along with her.
She then performed a song named Peacock. It wasn’t released yet and she sang it just for Malaysia. How sweet of her. =)
The stage was again, decorated with peacocks at the screen!
The last song that she performed that night was Hot and Cold. Everyone was super high then.
You can see the crowd was jumping and singing along with her…
And then all of a sudden, there were giant balls jumping around on us. There were huge! And they actually blocked the whole stage, I couldn’t spot Katy at any place.
And of course, the song was still going on. Katy then decided to climbed onto one of the pole so that we could see her…
The crowd went crazy and ran forward when she decided to come down to the crowd at the end of her show. It was chaotic!
There was even fireworks after all that! =)
I was in a shock at that time. Too much stuffs happening in one minute. I couldn’t breath!
All of us thought it ends there but then one of the organiser came out and surprised us by telling us that Wonder Girls would be performing again.
I wondered if this is the way a apologising by MTV for making us wait all night? It was already 12.30am then. He told us to wait for 15 minutes, and yet, we waited for 30 minutes AGAIN.
And this time, Jason, Lulu, Sze Yin and I squeezed ourselves to the front. SECOND ROW FROM THE STAGE!!!!! That was just SO SO SO damn close to the stage!
Sharon’s camera was low on battery then, sadness… =.=
Wonder Girls performed Nobody again. I was a little disappointed. I thought they would have perform another song..
Anyway, it was still great cos’ this time I get to see them up close! Jason went crazy then, haha.. It was his dream to meet them in person and he was so determined to be in front of the crowd so that one of the member could shake his hand (If they ever got down the stage). :P
So it all ended at 1am plus. Everyone was tired but HAPPY i supposed. Oh Ya, and super HUNGRY!!!!
MTV Worldstage 2010 was GREAT except that they made us made for at least 30 minutes before the next band performed. That was quite shitty..
Anyhow, MTV Worldstage, I will be back next year! I will be getting meet and greet passes the next time plus X-zone tickets again! =)
Woo woo!
