Jian Fang’s 23th Birthday

Last Saturday, a few of us decided to give Ah Fang a birthday surprise.

We headed to Pavillion at around 12 noon.

I was really looking forward for the gathering as it had been quite some time since I last met my “body guards” :P

The Christmas decoration in Pavillion was really magnificent! I felt like a small kid once again when I see all those huge Christmas tress and mistletoes.  =) Christmas has always been my favourite occasion of the year!

We couldn’t stop ourselves from snapping photographs with the superb decorations. =)

Ah Fang was late that afternoon and we had to find our own ways to entertain ourselves. Sorry Fang! :P

Love the deco so much! Can I move the whole hut to my garden at home? (That blue shirt girl at the bottom left should have stood beside Nickson!)

We then headed to Snowflakes while waiting for Ah Fang to arrive.

I wonder why everyone is so crazy over Snowflakes these days?

The all-time bestseller (according to the menu)

The Taro Balls tasted great!

Lemon Ice Blend

Didn’t taste as great as the previous one. (Nick’s choice, Ah-Hem)

So, the birthday celebration would be held in a Chinese Restaurant, Ding Tai Feng.

Ah Fang didn’t know that Shwu Ling and I would be there and she thought it was just a normal friend gathering.

From left: Me, Fang, Ling and Rox =)

We ordered the famous Xiao Long Bao.

They were awesome!

Just look at the meat and the soup which was contained inside the the Bao. Orgasmic!

Fang decided to order a plate of century eggs which cost RM3.80.

Why? I could go to morning market and get one with a much cheaper price. Business.

Ling ordered a plate of fried rice and it was recommended as a MUST in the Ding Tai Feng website.

The taste? Anyone of us could have cooked this, or maybe better.

Chicken Chop Fried Rice. Score: 6/10

Vege Dumpling Noodle Soup. Score: 4/10

The soup tasted “too healthy”. =..=”

All thanks to YONG NICKSON for mistakenly tick the wrong number on the ordering sheet.

Spicy and Sour Noodles. Score 7/10

Putting the not-so-nice food aside, we started to snap photographs again! My favourite part of the day! Haha..

Aw.. Don’t we look sweet as a family?

Snapping photos using the self-timer was really fun.

And Ah Fang did something that made Nick really embarrassed. ~.~

We couldn’t stop laughing after that. I think I nearly had a stomach spasm then.

Oh Ah Fang.. Bad bad ah Fang.. :P

Ok, calmed ourselves down and snapped a proper one!

=)

We then asked one of the waiter to deliver the birthday cake to our table. Yeah, they delivered it, with the candles all arranged nicely on the cake WITHOUT LIGHTING THEM UP. =.=

Just sweat.

But still, our main objective to surprise Ah Fang was accomplished! She did not see that coming. =)

Ah Fang, posing with her 23th birthday cake.

Fudgy Chocolate cake from Lavenders.

We were not sure what happened when they were preparing this cake but it tasted as though they had overcooked the chocolate. Hangus punya cake.

But still we enjoyed every bit of it. =)

Here’s a special edition of a birthday song just for you, Jian Fang!

Hope you like it! :)

It was a really sweet time we spent in Pavillion and this was actually my first time to be out with them in KL.

I really miss hanging out with all of them. Ever since I moved up to Klang, my time spent with them are just becoming lesser.

I shall go back Kluang more often and also meet you guys in KL whenever there is chance!

♥ LOVE you guys always! ♥

►p/s: Thanks to Rox again for the sweet photos! ◄

Shout Awards 2010

Shout Awards was back again! And it was once again held in Stadium Putra, Bukit Jalil.

And I was lucky enough to win invites from Fly Fm again! Woohoo!!!

lala

I actually screamed in my room when I saw this message. Initially I thought it was a scam as the notification saying that I’ve won myself 4 invites, was sent through Facebook.

image

Haha, but yeah, it was real! =)

Nickson, Rox and I went to the awards after JianFang’s birthday celebration last Saturday. ShwuLing decided not to join us as she needed to study for her finals. Aw, sad.

Rox, Mei and Nick.

We reached there at around 5.30pm. It was super sunny and HOT.

The crowd was already building up then.

IMG_9388

The usual red carpet was changed into a purple one this year. Very “Malaysian”. =.=

IMG_9386

Prem, from Fly Fm, was the host for the “purple carpet” session.

We didn’t care much about that and went straight to queue up at the gate so that we could secure ourselves nice seats in the stadium later.

(Yeah, I know we were very Kia Su)

 IMG_9389

Gate C, for the public, level 2. It was not the best seats actually basing on the fact that I’ve won VIP tickets last year. =.= But still, I needed to be grateful.

IMG_9392

It felt SO GOOD to be the first 3 in the queue! WOOHOO!!!

The “Purple Carpet” event started at around 6pm.

IMG_9401

Here is the hottest guy of the night, who was also one of the host of the awards, Henry Golding.

IMG_9403

Arh, HOT!!!

IMG_9405

The crowd, queuing up.

We were allowed to enter the stadium at around 6.30pm. Without anyone giving us direction or any notice boards telling us where to head to, we eventually lost our way.

We just walked around wherever our instincts brought us to.

And we ended up here:

IMG_9408

The Screamer Zone. I was like WHAT? REALLY???

The opposite.

The guards didn’t even look at what tickets we were holding! I felt like I strike the jackpot that night! Super duper HAPPY and EXCITED! This was the area I wanted to be in so badly last year. And now, I was given the chance, an unexpected chance! Thank GOD!!!

The Screamer Zone was located just in front of the stage.

And right beside the purple carpet where celebrities would walk pass when they are heading to the stage and you get to grab their hands or talk to them if you are lucky enough!

It was really a dream come true!

LALA

From level 2 to Screamer ZONE!

MUUAAAHAHHAHAHHA!!!!

I was thrilled by the whole thing. Couldn’t get myself to calm down that night.

But..

IMG_9422

If only I could be in that centre of the stage….

OMG!!!!!

Next year perhaps?

We waited for at least 2 hours for the show to start and it was very torturing. I was hungry and I needed to go to the toilet BUT I CAN’T!

(I entered this zone illegally and I dared not step out of it. Hehe..)

Let’s sit and wait then! Secure our nice locations!

We were bored waiting with nothing else to do.

IMG_9419

IMG_9421

Sat and stood. Up and down.

The crowd went wild when they were giving out glowing sticks ( I do not know why… =.=)

IMG_9424

But the glowing effects really make us go woohoo! hahaha.. Crazy kids…

The crowd when the show was about to start:

FULL HOUSE.

We were then interview by a reporter from 8TV Chinese News.

And we went live on TV! MUUAHAHAHHA!!! Too bad noone recorded the 10seconds fame for us. Hahaha…

Us with the sweet reporter.

Standing at that location was a really once in a life time experience.

You got to see all the nominated celebrities like..

Mizz Nina:

Joe Flizzoe and Malique Ibrahim from Too Phat.

IMG_9431

Jackln Victor:

My HOT Faizal Tahir and Dad’s sweet Siti Nurhaliza:

And of course, the highlight of the night,

Iyaz!

He was looking very black rapper-ish.

I was soooooo close to him!!! WU AH AH!

I don’t know why was he putting on a very lan si face. =.=

The award was started off an awesome performances by dancers who painted themselves silver.

and also by a dangling superwomen-wannabe lady.

IMG_9446

her costume was really hilarious. I wonder who suggested her in wearing this.

Just FAILED.

I loved it when they let the coloured papers down after each performance. =)

The crowd went wild when the show started.

IMG_9447

And so were we.

(Or maybe it was only me, Haha. :P)

The hosts for the night:

IMG_9450

My Hot Henry, Hot Girl and Hafiz from Fly Fm.

It was really a unique experience to watch an award at such a close distance.

And from where we stood, we could actually greet the artists.

When Bunkface, which is one of my favourite local bands, won an award, I quickly grabbed the chance to shake their hands.

IMG_9470

Bunkface, walking up the stage.

I went hysterical after that. Haha. I know I know, I am crazy.

I also got the chance to meet with some unexpected celebrities whom I wanted to meet when I was young.

KRU:

IMG_9493

They debuted their first album when I was 7 to 8 years old I think. Old old band.

Chef Wan:

IMG_9498

I guess everyone knows him. :)

Ning Baizura and Adibah Noor.

Both of them are super great singers.

Super thin girl and Sasi the Don:

Mizz Nina receiving her award:

This was actually my first time seeing her face. Baby Baby, what cha what cha waiting for~~

And of course, Iyaz was there to present the Ultimate Shout Award which was given to Yuna.

I tried very hard to grab his hands but he went to the other side. =.=

VERY disappointed.

IMG_9502

Iyaz on the stage! Woohoo!

Performances that night were awesome. Nick and Rox didn’t enjoy much I think because all of them were by local artists.

So sorry guys…

Faizal Tahir:

IMG_9462

I loved his performances! His strong vocals really rocked the show. He even sang Beat It by Michael Jackson. Aw, Loved it!

Reshmonu:

IMG_9481

I think he really enjoyed performing. :P

Yuna:

IMG_9486

She was the biggest winner that night, grabbing 3 awards back home, even beating Dato’ Siti Nurhaliza. I still think that Dato’ Siti deserved to win though.

Performances by Cuci The Musical:

(A really WTF name)

IMG_9490

IMG_9491

IMG_9492

Their performances are really speechless to me. I think they are trying hard to be Glee but failed.

Performances by the winning dance group from Show Down:

And this, was AWESOME!

I guess the best performances (for me) were those by Bunkface:

IMG_9503

They sang Bunk Anthem. Arh, Loved the song super duper much!

And also, the one by Mizz Nina!

IMG_9495

And THE BEST:

Were definitely by Iyaz!!

I know the pictures are super blur but I just don’t care. Haha. They must still be post in my blog! :P

He sang Replay, Solo and So Big.

I was SUPER EXCITED, WILD and couldn’t stop screaming when he was up there performing.

I don't want to walk this earth, if I got to do it SOLO~ SOLO~ SOLO~

The show ended after his awesome performances.

Somehow I felt that the crowd was not as energetic as the one from last year when Sean Kingston was performing.

I still enjoyed it though. I will enjoy any performances by anyone to be honest. Hahaha..

Who is coming next year?

Maybe I get to be in the middle of the stage then. =)

Can’t wait!

To Nick and Rox, hope you guys had a great time that night even though we were all very exhausted and were starving then.

=) Miss you guys already!

p/s: Thanks Rox for the awesome photos! =)
